This week’s video is dedicated to Macey who asked “What Should I Be Eating if I have Blood Sugar Issues?” I suppose there is a lot of information on this subject online and there are a lot of seemingly contradicting methods that seem to work. Thing is, there are no “shoulds” and the best foods for each of us really depend on what is spiking our blood sugar in the first place.
Everything from high carb raw diets to high protein processed food diets to carnivore to keto to green keto to vegan keto to paleo or vegan paleo seem to work. What to do? Well, that depends… It is my understanding that we each fall somewhere along a continuum from balanced blood sugar to imbalanced. Most of us will find ourselves not at either end but somewhere in between. Because we are not in stasis, we are dynamic, living beings and our needs may change throughout the day or moment to moment.
