This week we are doing something very special as I let you into my living room with three of my friends for an intimate musical session. I show you how you can write a song to carry with you through the day and help you through life’s difficult moments. This is something that I do very rarely for my cherished clients and would like you to have the skills to do this for yourself too. Be warned this is a long one. I wanted to show the thought processes behind the songs and just how quickly you can come up with something life changing for yourself. Am I Sensitive?

Do you ever wonder if you are sensitive to gluten?  Many people with chronic health conditions can be.  In some studies, people suffering from autoimmunity tested for gluten sensitivity were 70% or more positive.  That is enough alone to argue that testing for anyone dealing with chronic challenges is important.  Of course there is nothing like an elimination diet to identify food sensitivity.  For gluten this can be very difficult as it can be found in supplements, processed foods, misleadingly named ingredients etc. and can be challenging to eliminate completely.  Even a small amount of gluten can cause immune reactions for up to six months in anyone with an allergy OR sensitivity.  This means an elimination diet for gluten would have to be followed very carefully for a very long time and then gluten would have to be re-introduced carefully in order to determine anything in this way.  Since the recording of this video I have started using the Vibrant Wellness Wheat Zoomer because it tests for multiple peptides in wheat, not just the gluten.  If you would like to discuss this 1-1 please get in contact HERE

Essential Oils, Can I Eat That?

I have many issues with the over-use of essential oils but I also love them.  They are a powerful plant medicine that is available to us and can be used responsibly if we are smart shoppers.  I notice a many recipes focusing on essential oils as ingredients.  I definitely use oils culinarily in chocolates, ice creams, desserts, sauces… in this video I wanted to cover some of the basics for troubleshooting whether you are going to ingest an essential oil or not.  Enjoy.  Join me in the comments below.

Throw Some Coconut on Your Omegas

Are you taking your omega-3 oils?  If you are consuming omega 3 oils primarily from flax, chia and other seeds your body will have to convert them down to longer chain omega three oils, eventually DHA and EPA.  Each of the omega three oils in between have a function in our bodies but of course the oils that have been studied to have the most benefits to our cardiovascular and nervous systems are the EPA and DHA.  The problem is our conversion from ALA (from flax, for example) down to EPA/DHA can be unreliable, ranging from 2-30 percent.  What to do?  Add coconut, Lauric and Myristic acids to be exact.  Watch the video to discover what helps and what hinders our omega 3 conversion and how to biohack this yourself!
